Rain and a wheelbarrow

Rain again. I bought a wheelbarrow, and took advantage of the rain to lay out large swaths of cardboard in the yard where the beds will go. The rain will soak the cardboard nicely. I put out three long pieces of cedar, which I hope will be usable when the time comes to make the beds. I anticipate I will put them together Saturday morning, possibly chop half-boards Thursday night.

If the rain keeps up, tomorrow night I will bring in the boards I laid out, and weight down the carboard with flagstones, so that the boards can dry a bit, so I can drill into them.

I plan to plant cover crops in the leafy compost beds and grow green compost all summer/fall. Maybe I’ll use one bed for something and have two as cover crops. Not sure.
