I’m calling this one the “slip-cover soaker” design. Cut up normal hose and feed it over soaker hose to only expose sections of the soaker hose where desired. It took some hand strength to complete, difficult for me tonight because of burning pain in one of my hands for the past several weeks.

I needed a solution for the berry plants, but exposing the entire soaker hose works better for vegetable gardens, not “spot watering.” So I thought of this.

I did complete the section for the berries tonight and tested it. Works better than expected. The covered section of soaker hose pushes the water out to the exposed sections, so it concentrates all the water where desired.
