I especially like this picture because the barley is growing very happily, at least to my relatively untrained eye. I can grow a little bit of grain, even if it’s not enough to feed a family for a year. Clover is springing up on the official garden beds. I love clover. Seeing so much green fills up my soul to the brim.

Clover will add a miniscule amount of nitrogen back into the soil. I mainly have them in there to protect the soil until I figure out what to do here.
